Jason Godwin Biog
Jason is one of the UK’s leading domestic & commercial construction experts with a strong passion for and experience in Interior Design. Jason came into television whilst running a thriving bespoke construction company, "Ten Thousand Rooms". With offices based in a converted chapel in Cambridgeshire and a client list that is the who’s who of the rock music & celebrity world, he was dubbed "The Rock & Roll Builder". The business continues to grow with projects in the UK, Europe & the USA, aided by frequent appearances on many of the UK’s leading renovation & makeover shows.
Jason studied Interior Design / Style & History at London’s Kingsway Princeton after which he embarked on a 7 year apprenticeship with a listed buildings renovation company, and completed with merit in the trades of Plastering & Joinery. From there, Jason started his first business "Constructive Approach" working for the UK’s leading Insurance companies renovating domestic & commercial properties following damage sustained in fires & floods etc.
It was here Jason’s talent for Project Management of trades and hand on skills flourished. After 5 hugely successful years and offices and staff of 30, Jason sold the business and invested in his first love of listed buildings. Buying a derelict chapel to convert into living accommodation and offices, Ten Thousand Rooms was formed whose objectives where to convert old properties into "modern sanctuaries" whilst retaining the properties "soul & integrity", it was this business that allowed Jason to indulge in his first love of Interior Design.
Jason’s television career kicked off when a journalist friend recommended him to an ITV producer for Living TV’s “Jades Salon”. The program followed Jade Goody and her dream of converting a former listed bank into a beauty salon. Jason managed, on screen, to successfully complete all work with style, on time & under budget, so much so he was hired for ITV 1, as Project Manager on the hugely successful "60 Minute Makeover".
3 years and 203 shows later his style on camera, natural & friendly approach have allowed him to make frequent live guest appearances at "The Ideal Home Show" and secured sponsorship deals with Hilti Power Tools.
Jason has just completed a mini series for ITV’s This Morning called "Help I Hate My House" co presenting with Interior Designer Alison Cork. He continues to offer money saving DIY tips & tricks of the trade to an increasingly Interior Design & DIY obsessed nation.
